Puppy Chow

The name of this sweet treat is up for debate apparently its called different things in other states. However the person who passed the recipe to me called it puppy chow so I am sticking with that. Its easy to make and delicious!

1 Cup of chocolate chips
1 Cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
8 cups rice chex cereal
Box powdered sugar

Melt the chocolate, peanut butter and butter together ( I use the microwave )
Pour Cereal into a large bowl
Slowly pour chocolate mixture into bowl over the cereal gently mix ( until the all the cereal is coated)
Allow to cool 3 min
Pour generous amount of powder sugar into a gallon ziploc
Put half the cereal coated in chocolate in ziploc pour more sugar on top of cereal
Close Ziploc and shake until the cereal is all coated with sugar
Repeat until you have entire batch coated in sugar and its white.
Once entire batch is white leave bag open and allow to cool

Its a great recipe for summer since it doesn't require the oven

Blueberry Muffins

I love blueberry muffins and I am always trying to find the perfect recipe and I finally found it. Its easy to make and doesn't require too many ingredients.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar + 1 tablespoon for topping
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a medium mixing bowl, cream together butter and 1 cup sugar.  Add eggs and mix well. Stir in milk.

Combine dry ingredients  in another bowl then add this into the creamed mixture.  Mix to combine.  Gently fold in blueberries.

Fill muffin cups about 2/3 full.  Sprinkle tops with the 1 tablespoon of sugar. Bake for about 20 minutes.

I usually find it easiest to lay out all the ingredients first that way I don't forget anything

Ready to EAT!!!
