Toothfairy Pillow

My friends kids are starting to get to the age where the toothfairy becomes important. I dont have any kids and I don't remember this being a big deal when I was a kid but I love a project. So the best part of this project was I was free to create whatever I wanted. SO I went with a fun baseball theme, baseball print on the back and solid navy on the front with angels logo pocket for tooth and money.

Little League

Its that time of year again Little League has started up and my instagram feed  is filled with all my friends kids playing baseball. A friend gave me an idea for a tumbler with her sons little league logo rather then team since they rarely are on the same team year after year. Now she can use this tumbler at the fields and during practice every year! Thanks Maggie for the great idea!

March Madness

March isn't just about St Patrick's Day its also one of the most fun months for college sports! Personally I love march madness it usually means awesome basketball and a little friendly wagering with my hubby. We haven't done our brackets yet...( duh a couple play in games still to happen ) and I am still trying to decide who my team will be this year! ( I didn't go to a big college and well FIDM doesn't have a basketball team ).

Custom Orders

I love when a customer wants something custom, I also love when they are thrilled with the results. This weekend I worked on 3 banners for Sara's upcoming wedding, she and her fiance are huge NY Mets fans.

DIY Ornaments

So the Christmas boutique is this weekend and I have been creating like crazy...ornaments mostly vinyl on glass and burlap with bows.

Its really been fun can't wait until sunday when the boutique is all wrapped up and I can start my Christmas decorating!!

Pinecone Ornaments

I have these large pine trees outside our house, and all other times of the year the needles dropping drives me crazy! But I went out the other day and found some pretty amazing pine cones to craft with so I guess the needles aren't sooooo bad.

The most valuable thing I read on pinterest about pine cones, is that they need to be baked to get rid of the bugs!!! Its simple really 45 minutes on 200 and no critters later!

I bought this amazing vintage ribbon at a antique market! 

A simple craft but beautiful results!

MIckey and Minnie Banners

I love to make banners for holidays or birthdays showers and parties. I especially love when I get a theme and can just run with a design. The other day I was in a mickey and minnie mood and I made  these fun banners. The bride to be banner is headed to a customer in PA!

Halloween Costumes

For the last couple of years my best friend and I have had coordinating costumes. We have been thing 1 and thing 2, and we were mickey and minnie. This year I found the most amazing costume idea, flamingos! My bestie loves loves flamingos so it was perfect! For the project I used a oversize mens tank top and feather Boas! Its a messy job and I will be finding feathers for a long time all over my house, but it was a great costume!

Game Day Shoes!

I love football and we have started this amazing tradition of seeing a Saints game in New Orleans every year. ( I need to go on record here saying I am a born and raised cowboys fan) However our yearly tradition is amazing if you have never been to new orleans GO if you have never been to a game at the Superdome GO! Anyway this year I wanted something comfy to wear to the game but still cute! 

Started with a pair of Black Converse

Added some fun New Orleans Saints Ribbon in place of the laces and I was ready to go!

Iron On Transfers

I tried a new media in my silhouette cameo this week, Iron On Transfers. I was a little nervous but it cut like card stock. A couple of tips and tricks I learned the hard way, reverse your images the side you are ironing is sticky side of the mat down. Also proportion the image to the surface you will be ironing it to. Things look large on the grid but once placed on tshirt appear smaller.

Chore Chart

More then I love to craft I love to help my friends with projects and crafts. This week my girlfriend reached out and needed some help repairing chore chart markers. So it took a little thinking she needed something that was tougher then just paper on a magnet. They aren't kid tested yet but I think they turned out pretty good.

Gumball Machine

My Best friend and I love antique markets we used to go at least once a month, and a few months back I picked up an old red gumball machine. I thought I would covert it into a fish tank in my craftroom. Well my husband wasn't to thrilled about that idea. So then it sat and collected dust, I debated selling it at teh next garage sale...and then last weekend I decided it would be the perfect item for craft fairs. A great way to draw people to my booth, one problem it needed a paint job.

My husband took it apart and then sanded it down 

3 coats of paint and its PERFECT!

Hand Towels

Having a Guest bathroom is nice, and I think the best part is the hand towels you can change them with the season or theme them to match your decor. I have been inspired lately with fun fabric that turns ordinary towels into fun hand towels!
