Cinnamon Rolls

Last Year my best friend gave me a recipe for butter rolls that they have been having at their thanksgiving forever. It was a lot of work its all from scratch but I am always up for a challenge. I can't begin describe how worth every moment of prep it is these butter rolls are AMAZING. I have included the recipe below...Now what happened next was a conversation about mmm these might make good cinnamon rolls...and no fail they are amazing too. So my advice make the butter rolls per recipe and then take half the dough and put it back in the fridge for cinnamon rolls the next morning!!!

 

Honestly the best rolls just as butter rolls on thanksgiving and then next morning as cinnamon rolls!

Anniversary Ideas

I am always looking for something thoughtful and special for my husband, and since it will be our 5 year anniversary in Jan I wanted this year to find something extra special. Then randomly it happened my girlfriend at work shared her crafty side, she makes frames using wedding invitation and first dance songs. Wedding Season

Next year I am in two weddings and as any one who as been in a wedding knows that get expensive; So I have been looking for ways to DIY from shower ideas or gift ideas... today I thought of a great inexpensive bridal shower gift. 1st Birthday Fun

I just had to share this adorable banner I made for Kelly in KS, she contacted me on Etsy and asked if I could make a birthday banner for her son with the Chiefs logo...but instead of Chiefs she wanted her sons name.

Road Trip

It my best friends birthday next week but she is leaving for an amazing road trip so we celebrated a little early at work. I really embraced her road trip as the theme for her office birthday décor.

Put my AAA membership to good use!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Oreo Brownie Bars

I found this recipe on pinterest and I thought I would give it a try ( since I already had all the ingredients )

Pillsbury Cookie Dough
Oreos (double stuff they are my favorite)
Brownie Mix

All ingredients needed

first layer cookie dough

oreos

brownie batter

Bake per instructions on the brownie mix

 

They are delicious a little too rich for an all the time treat but for a potluck or sunday football perfect!

Baby Shower Centerpieces

A I have mentioned in previous posts I am hosting a baby shower for a close friend in a couple of weeks...so most of my DIY projects are baby shower related...I have been thinking about centerpieces and I am in love with Mason Jars. So I took that super cute chevron theme with a little burlap ( also loving burlap anything ) and added a Mason Jar.

 

I think they turned out super cute! Hope mommy to be loves them!

Halloween Time

I love Halloween from the decorations to the costumes and my favorite handing out candy!!! However every year I am disappointed because of the lack of children in our neighborhood.

Hockey

I think that its safe to say I love hockey and I am sooo excited that season started last night, I am totally faithful to my team (GO DUCKS) and have been for 20 years. However I love to watch hockey and a good game or fight doesn't matter who is playing. In honor of the first game of the season I created a banner to support my team!

 

It didn't help them win last night but we'll see what happens against Minnesota Saturday night!

PB&J Bars

Now that Fall is here and the temperatures are more manageable I can get back to what I really enjoy baking. And since I work full time the best day for baking is sunday and that's how sunday sweets came about I try every sunday to make something sweet for my hubby. This week I am tried a new recipe...

I used to think I would re write recipes and have this great neatly organized book but I have found that the best option is page protectors and a binder!

Can't live without my Kitchen Aid mixer

Business Cards

It all is beginning to feel less like a hobby and more like a business ( a very small business ) but none the less my business!!!

Not Just in October

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...however not just in October are people fighting the fight we are just made more aware. With things like think pink Thursdays wearing pink in honor of those fighting and the memory of those lost. A co worker asked me to create a banner for this month for her office she gave me some great  ideas and this is what I came up with.....

 

I really enjoyed making these banners (and not just because I love anything pink) they mean something and I hope that when they get displayed they remind people that Cancer not just breast cancer is a terrible disease and no matter how big or small support the FIGHT!
